12th of September 2007

Dear POCIS Supporter,

2007 is off to a great new start for POCIS of Northern California.  Membership renewal for this year has been delayed because of some exciting changes taking place. We have been undergoing several transitions which includes: welcoming a stunning new class of board directors; revising our bylaws; and creating a new strategic plan under the guidance of two dynamic board consultants who are helping POCIS evolve from a relatively young non-profit into a more sustainable organization. Consequently we also have some changes in our membership policy which will allow us to better serve the needs of independent schools of Northern California.

Below are the two tiers of membership a school or organization can select from:

Gold Membership

  • Schools receive unlimited posting access on the

Ed-Net weekly email list for the 2007-2008 year

  • All faculty, students, and parents obtain free access to any and all POCIS events including the Adults of      Color Affinity group socials and the High School,
Middle School, Parent, and Adult Conferences

    Posting Membership
  • Schools receive unlimited posting access on the Ed-Net weekly email list for the 2007-2008 school year

***Posting members who would like to attend events must pay entrance fees***

Please do not hesitate to contact the POCIS Vice Chair Kitsana Salyphone at ksalyphone@csus.com or Board Chair Cheyenne Pronga at cpronga@gmail.com if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you and members of your community at our upcoming events and wish you a bright and successful 2007-2008 school year!

Yours truly,

Cheyenne Pronga
POCIS Board Chair
